Phenotype
Seedlings with short hypocotyls, oval-shape cotyledons with no petioles, absence of rosette growth, a very short inflorescence develops directly from the embryo or callus; the typical inflorescence shoot contains sessile leaves and two flowers with incomplete floral organ development; each flower has a disproportionally large pistil supported by a gynophore, six stamens and four sepals, but no petals; at maturity the pistil is several times taller than the stamens; homozygous plants are sterile.
